They Came. They Learned. They Graduated: Celebrating Our Data Analysis Cohort
Inside the certificate presentation that marked the end of a 3-month journey and the beginning of new careers
There is something sacred about watching someone receive a certificate for something they worked hard for, something they doubted they could finish, something that is going to change their life.
In March 2026, Havilah Grace Foundation hosted the certificate presentation ceremony for our inaugural Data Analysis Training cohort. It was more than a celebration. It was a declaration: these young Nigerians are ready.
What They Achieved
Over three months, our participants did not just attend classes. They completed a full curriculum that included:
Each participant who crossed that graduation stage had proved they could do the work. Not in theory. In practice.
The Moment That Mattered
At the certificate presentation, participants shared what the programme had meant to them. The themes that came up again and again were access, confidence, and belonging. Many said they had never imagined themselves working in data. The programme changed that.
Why Certification Matters
In a job market where credentials open doors, a certificate is not just paper. It is proof of commitment, capability, and character. Our graduates now carry documentation of skills in Excel data analysis, visualisation, dashboard creation, and Power BI reporting.
More importantly, they carry the two things no certificate can fully capture: practical experience and unshakeable confidence. And they leave with something else too: a live online portfolio showcasing their capstone projects, and an optimised LinkedIn profile that puts them in front of a global audience of recruiters and hiring managers. We did not just train them. We made them visible.
What Comes Next for Our Graduates
Havilah Grace Foundation is committed to supporting our cohort beyond graduation. We are actively working to:
This is not the end of their journey with us. It is the beginning of a longer partnership.
A Note of Gratitude
None of this happens without the trainers who gave their time and expertise, the volunteers who kept the programme running, and the supporters who believe in what we are building. Thank you.
And to our graduates: you are the proof that when access is removed as a barrier, talent finds its way.
